Not so much as a recommendation but as an educational foundation. Maybe take a look at the below before your next run. If that is unacceptable then going back before the problems in your save could help but not what I am recommending here. Just being honest sorry about the pessimistic response. The crashes have been happening long before that, so I do not believe that is the problem. I have sim settlements installed AND also the 3in1 version, but I did that within the past week. such as AWKCR, which I dont have the latest version for because it said it required DLC, which I do not have. my mods are for the most part up to date, except for some. LOOT says that all of my mods are compatible, and also that I do not have any errors.
